I Believe in Sherlock Holmes wristbands. $4.

Also: Giveaway. I was going through these and a bunch of them have very slight defects (Example: One has a slight yellow spot on the inside of it next to “Moriarty was real”). I’m going to give those away because, well, I want to.

So here’s how to enter:

  • Reblog this as often as you want between now and February 19th.
  • Or like it. However you feel at that particular moment.

Wow, that was easy. If you don’t want to enter or just think you don’t have a shot, you can just buy one.

I did this giveaway almost exactly a year ago, so hey!

Let’s go again since I just reopened my Etsy shop after many months of life fail! Allllllll reblogs/likes/etc. after this exact moment will count as entries! I’m going to give away five. Five!

Winners announced on this blog on February 20th!

Available on RedBubble!

I’ve been looking forward to these so much! Mostly because I want them for LeakyCon. I originally made the Moriarty one black on red, but it didn’t look like Moriarty anymore and it didn’t work on as many colors… so white it was!

Update on I Believe in Sherlock wristbands!

As of this moment, all of the original orders have been shipped, so if you placed your order before they went into pre-order for the second batch, your wristband is on its way to you! (My family had some bonding time while working an assembly line to address and stuff envelopes!)

If you have no idea what I’m talking about but like the sound of it, you can order a wristband here.

Wow, that was easy.

I’ll see how many I have that are funky (at the moment, at least 11) (and really, they’re not that funky. I’m just a perfectionist) and pick people using a random number generator on Valentine’s Day (because who doesn’t need a little extra love?).

A portion of each wristband sale will be donated by me to The Harry Potter Alliance, because hey, this is about fandoms doing good in the world, and that’s entirely what they’re based on. If you have no idea what that charity is, go forth and learn, my friends.

I really really really want a lot of people to wear these and then I want to find someone and be like “OMG WE MATCH” because I’m that kind of nerd.

Edit: It’s starting to look like I may run out of these. I’ve got the mildly defective ones set aside for the giveaway, but the ones that are selling are going like hot cakes. If I do sell out, I’ll get more and continue taking orders (I’ll note it on the page if it happens), but it’ll be two weeks before those orders would ship.

For now, though, I still have some and they will be shipped out this week. Order here.

Edit 2.0: As expected, I ran out. I still have 11 to give away on Valentine’s Day and I am presently addressing and stuffing envelopes from current orders. I’ve changed the listing to reflect this—it is now listed as a preorder with a ship date of February 23rdfor all orders placed from here on out. So sorry if this is inconvenient; I didn’t realize they would be so popular or I would’ve had a larger batch to start out with.

They can still be ordered here, but please bear in mind that they will not ship until February 23rd unless my schedule suddenly has some serious free time. Which it likely won’t. So February 23rd.

Thanks for the love! Don’t stop believing.

Reblogging because, hey, they’re gone now and you can still order them if you don’t mind waiting two weeks for me to ship out the insane original slew of orders because Sweet Mercy, I did not think they’d go so fast. So yeah. February 23rd will be my next date with the post office.

Edit 3.0: I have five left for the February 23rd order. Once they’re gone, we move to a March 1st pre-order (Thursdays are my day off from work and, thus, my post office day). I’ll change the title on the listing when this happens, but that’s the next step here!

Look what came in the mail today! Want one? I’ll be putting them up online later today. After a long nap because I’m severely jet-lagged. But yay, they’re so pretty and I’m excited.

Hi, Tumblr.
I want to get these bracelets made. I know there’s another bracelet post going around but (1) I don’t like the 1-inch bands and (2) I can’t justify spending $12 on one. The standard .5-inch bands are much more my style. However, I have nothing against the person behind that particular production, so don’t think I do! In fact, if you don’t know what I’m talking about, it’s right here.
These would be .5-inch silicone black bands. They’d be like the above text: “I BELIEVE IN SHERLOCK HOLMES” embossed (not printed) in white on the outside, “MORIARTY WAS REAL” embossed on the inside.
According to the company I want to order them from, they’d take a week to produce and a few days to ship to me. Since I don’t want to be stuck with 99 wristbands, I’m coming to you, Tumblr. Would anyone be interested in these or have you all committed to the other order? These would be about $4 each, plus $1 for shipping (depending on where you live, anyway). So you’re looking at about $5.
I’ve gotten bracelets from this place before, and they’re quite quality. I’ve got one that I never take off (it’s embossed with white—same as what I’m ordering here) and it’s held up after about 8 months, even in the shower. (We originally got them just printed on instead of embossed and they didn’t hold up at all, that’s why I’m specifying that these will be embossed!)
TL;DR: Lovely “I believe in Sherlock Holmes” / “Moriarty was real” wristbands, $4. Yay/nay?
